How it is calculated
- Total invested: The sum of everything spent on buys so far, including fees.
- Average cost: Like Korean brokers, the average is recalculated on every buy and left unchanged on sells (moving average method).
- Realized P&L: Sale proceeds (after fees and tax) − the average cost of the shares sold.
- Unrealized P&L: (Current price × quantity) − cost for shares you hold. Only stocks with a current price entered are included.
- Total return: (Realized P&L + unrealized P&L) ÷ (cost of shares sold + cost of held shares that have a current price).
- Returns by period: Realized P&L on shares sold in that period. Past market values are not calculated because past prices are unknown.
- US stocks: Converted to won at the exchange rate you enter for the trade, or today’s rate if left blank. Won P&L therefore includes both price and currency changes.
For Korean capital gains tax on foreign stocks, check the amount separately with the Korean overseas stock tax calculator.
Privacy and storage
- This browser only: Records are kept only in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server, so other devices cannot see them.
- Don’t save: Records disappear when you close or reload the tab. Use this on shared computers.
To move devices or keep a backup, use “Export file” and later “Import file”. Files and saved data from the older “holdings” format are converted to buy records automatically.
The site never asks for brokerage IDs, passwords or account numbers, and it does not link to brokerage accounts.
